How does the campus events page work?
CeiConnect watches a curated set of public Instagram accounts, pulls recent posts, runs an event-extraction pipeline, and links every result back to the original Instagram post so people can verify the details themselves.
1. Public Instagram posts
The system currently pulls from public campus-related accounts that are likely to post events, club updates, department announcements, and student-facing activities.
2. Automated extraction
Recent posts are processed for event clues like titles, dates, times, locations, tags, and whether food might be provided. Results are helpful, but not perfect.
3. Human verification
Every event row still links to the original Instagram post. If anything looks off, the Instagram post should be treated as the final source of truth.
Current source accounts
364 accounts are currently in the source list.
Want your account included?
If you run a club, student group, department, or campus initiative that posts events, you can request to be added to the source list.
Request form coming soon
Once the Google Form is ready, we will add the request link here.
A quick note on accuracy
The system is automated, so dates, tags, or event summaries can occasionally be incomplete or wrong. The Instagram post link is always there so people can double-check the source.
